FAQs

How is Clocktower Collaborative structured?

  • Because our community has been divided, we insist on protecting people’s privacy.  As a 501c4, we are able to do that – not publicizing anyone’s name in any way.  Because we will remain intentionally small, there will not be any required reporting of donors.
  • To assist with messaging, website development and marketing to amplify our message, we receive assistance from a small group of volunteers, all long-term Hudson residents.
  • Volunteers are not allowed to reveal any party affiliations – we are completely nonpartisan. This group includes very diverse backgrounds of residents who care about the community and want the city to remain healthy and unified. We have a president, secretary and treasurer simply to carry out the record-keeping requirements of any nonprofit. This is very similar to the same structure shared by many of our area nonprofits, including the Hudson Senior Network.  Leadership Hudson started this way.All meetings are community driven and open to anyone – everyone is welcome.
  • We plan to publish a bimonthly newsletter with updates on issues, voting schedules, how we spent donations, what we’re doing to promote this better community.

Are you a PAC?

  • We are intentionally not a PAC – so no funds will be given to individual candidates.  We are driven from a grassroots perspective. We are not a club and are not membership driven.
  • All dollars raised go directly to the cause – a nonpartisan Hudson of engaged residents who vote.
  • We have no overhead costs, so all dollars go to directly to education, information, get out the vote, and voter engagement.

How are you using my money?
We plan on being an ongoing venture – not just for current elections but for all elections moving forward. We hope to raise $35,000 this year in order to really reach voters.  If everyone does a little, it will add up to a lot.  Dollars will be used for:

  • Education, advocacy,Getting information to residents (fact based)
  • Making information easier to find (one website)
  • More engagement
